Business Prepare for Hurricane Irene

As Tewksbury readies itself to face the wrath of Hurricane Irene many people are wondering exactly what to expect tomorrow.

The course and magnitude of the storm may remain unpredictable but local businesses are proving that, yes, we are hardy New Englanders and we are ready for whatever Mother Nature chooses to send our way.

Two local businesses and Mahoney’s Too  were busy all day Saturday securing their garden centers and battening own the hatches.  Loose items and pots have been brought inside and larger plants and trees are well secured outdoors.

has already decided to close their doors for the day but will also have staff on the premises to keep an eye on the garden center and greenhouses.

If you didn’t get enough exercise clearing off you patio and storing all of your outdoor furniture plans to open the doors as usual at 7 A.M. and hopes to remain open all day. Group exercise classes and daycare at the gym, however, have been cancelled.  Safety is Gold’s first priority and they will close the doors if the weather becomes dangerous so call before heading over.
