Middlesex Mamas Want to Help You Feed Your Family Fit

Seminar to be hosted Monday at A Novel Cafe.

Do you ever wonder what you’re feeding your child?

have teamed up with Fit Lifestyle Studios in Melrose to help you answer that question.

On Monday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at , exercise physiologist and nutritionist Jenine Wright of Fit Lifestyle Studios will present "Feeding Your Family Fit," a seminar on how parents can feed your family the right way.

“If one mom goes home and makes a healthy change,” said Cheryl Barnes, one of the Middlesex Mamas’ assistant organizers, “then we feel it is a success.”

Barnes said that the free seminar, which is open to the public, will be “jam-packed with information that you can take with you and get started on a healthier lifestyle for you and your family.”

According information provided by www.fitlifestylestudios.com, Jenine Wright received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Performance and Fitness from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University in New York. Before founding Fit Lifestyle Studios in Melrose, Wright was a health promotion director for an internal biotech organization.

According to the flier passed out for the event, Wright is a firm believer in the notion that “you are what you eat,” and will discuss how “changing a few products on your shopping list may be your prevention against illness, neurological disorders and obesity.”

During the seminar, Wright will take the time to explain why products like “Nutra Grain” bars and “Gogurts” may not be providing the nutrition that they appear to be. She will also discuss the difference between organic and conventional foods and ways to eat healthier on a budget.

Wright will provide tips on how to make those “not so good decisions a little better” and will even offer some healthy lunch and snack tips.
