Nutrition Program a Success at TSDI

Did you know...

Nutrition Program 2016 at The Self-Defense Institute was a success. Learning so much about 'nutrition and training' was inspiring for all ages. Did you know that the sweet potato has twice the fiber, twice the calcium, and so much vitamin A compared to a regular potato? You can even make sweet potato fries at home. And...what about those bananas? Bananas are high in potasium and low in salt. We learned that bananas can make you smarter because they help with learning by making you more alert. Eating a banana before an exam will result in success due to the high levels of energy from the potasium. "Nutrition is not low-fat. It is not low-calorie. it is not being hungry and feeling deprived. It's nourishing your body so that you are consistently satisfied and energized to the fullest. The yearly mission of the program at TSDI is to empower, educate and inspire as many people as possible to love and enjoy whole food for energy and health." - Shihan Deb and - Shihan Jeff
