Orange Leaf in Tewksbury is Closing
The owners cited increased labor costs and declining sales as the reason for its upcoming closure.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A Tewksbury frozen yogurt shop will be closing its doors, according to owner Ken Mackey.
Tewksbury's location of Orange Leaf, located at 345 Main St., will serve its last cup of fro-yo on Sept. 11. In a statement sent to Patch, co-owner Ken Mackey cited declining sales and increasing labor costs as the reason for the shop's closure.
"With much regret we would like to let our customers know that Orange Leaf Tewksbury will be closing its doors. The last day of business will be Sunday September 11th. Due to the increased cost of labor and declining sales we have made the difficult decision to close. We would like to thank our customers for their patronage as well as our outstanding employees. It has been a great four years and we have enjoyed being part of the Tewksbury business community," wrote Mackey.
Orange Leaf opened in 2012 and generated significant buzz in the Tewksbury area. The Oklahoma-based franchise also has locations in Andover, Woburn, Winchester and Dracut.
