Spring Flushing Program Begins In Tewksbury
Water main and hydrant flushing may lead to customers experiencing low water pressure and discoloration of their water.
TEWKSBURY, MA — The Town of Tewksbury is alerting residents regarding spring water main and hydrant flushing, which began earlier this week and will run through early July.
Water main and hydrant flushing will be done between 7 and 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
"This program ensures all areas of Town have high-quality water and helps to properly maintain and clean our piping network," the Department of Public Works said in a statement.

The spring flushing program is anticipated to last six weeks and includes all areas of Tewksbury.
During this time, customers may notice episodes of decreased water pressure or discoloration of their water. These disturbances are considered normal, and the water is always safe for consumption as it is chlorinated.
