Tewksbury Coronavirus Update: More Than 200 Active Cases
Just 33 residents have recovered, according to data released by the town Thursday.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Over 200 Tewksbury residents have active cases for the new coronavirus, as of Thursday afternoon, the town said. Thirty-three residents have recovered, while 213 have active cases, for a total of 246.
That's a 20 percent increase from state data released Wednesday, which had 204 cases. The town ranks in the top 50 municipalities in confirmed coronavirus rate, according to the state data.
There were 168 cases reported by the town April 15.

The Tewksbury case count includes residents of Tewksbury Hospital, where a major outbreak was reported last week. An Army Reserve medical task force was deployed to the hospital this week.
