Join Pop Art School for a fun canvas painting event. Follow along step-by-step to create a magical star-filled night sky with silhouettes of a hillside and trees. It's amazing what you can create with four colors and some simple brush techniques! A limited number of spots are available. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library through a generous donation from 100 People Who Care Tewksbury.

Calling all knitters, crocheters, needle workers, beaders, and colorers! Bring your own craft project to the Library and work on it while enjoying conversation with other crafters. (Please, no crafts involving glue or paint.) Take advantage of the many books available at the library to get ideas for your next project or to explore a new craft. We will be meeting in person.

This month the Other Worlds fantasy book group will be reading Susanna Clarke's Piranesi. Clarke published her debut novel, the epic historical fantasy Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, in 2004. Piranesi is her long-awaited second novel, and won the Women's Prize for Fiction in 2021. It follows a man trapped in a parallel universe contained within the boundaries of a mysterious house, and his efforts to understand his world and remember his past. Copies of the book are available at the Front Desk one month prior to meeting.

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood's newest DVD releases -- The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes. Coriolanus Snow mentors and develops feelings for the female District 12 tribute during the 10th Hunger Games. Starring Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, and Viola Davis. Action Adventure. Rated PG-13. 2 Hours, 30 Minutes. Doors will open at 1:15pm. Candy & water will be served. A $1 donation is suggested.

VIRTUAL: Armchair Travel To Switzerland -- Historic Cities & Alpine Vistas (*RR)

Walk through the medieval, yet modern, lakeside cities of Zurich and Lucerne, and along the cobbled streets and ancient arcades of the World Heritage city of Bern. Take the rapid train to Lauterbrunnen Valley with its soaring rock faces and thundering waterfalls. From there, travel along the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn to Zermatt and ride the world's highest gondola to Klein Matterhorn. Finally, hop on the Golden Pass Express for a scenic trip along the shores of Lake Geneva. Led by local authors Alison Simcox and Douglas Heath, both retired from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

If you are unemployed and actively looking, underemployed, seeking a new career direction, re-entering the job market after a long employment gap, or recently retired and looking for your "Encore Career", this networking group program is perfect for you! Remember, 85% of jobs are found through networking! Each biweekly meeting is facilitated by Deborah Hope, MBA, PCIC, an experienced executive career coach. VIRTUAL: A Look At Anti-Semitism Through the Eyes of a Child of Holocaust Survivors (*RR)

After an atypical childhood during which he was raised by two Holocaust survivors, Dr. William Reszelbach has devoted years sharing his story with audiences, and learning its roots in Holocaust history, Jewish tradition, and post-World War II culture across Europe. Dr. Reszelbach will explore his family’s harrowing experiences at the hands of the Nazis, coupled with Holocaust history. He will discuss his parents will to survive and how these traumatic events affected their new life in America, as well as his own life, and his perspective on modern-day anti-Semitism. Dr. Reszelbach is a former school teacher and author of the book, Through the Eyes of a Child of Holocaust Survivors.

Author and world-renowned globemaker Peter Bellerby will discuss his brand new book, The Globemakers: The Curious Story of an Ancient Craft. When Peter Bellerby set out to make a globe for his father's eightieth birthday, after failing to find a suitable one to purchase, he had no idea where the process would lead. He went on to establish Bellerby & Co, one of the only artisan globemakers in the world, which has shipped globes to over 60 countries, and has had its work featured in books, on television, and in countless publications around the world. The Globemakers brings us inside Bellerby's gorgeous London studio to learn how he and his team of cartographers and artists bring these stunning celestial, terrestrial, and planetary objects to life. Along the way he tells stories of his adventure and the luck along the way that shaped the company.

Linda is the former Secretary and Civil Records Director for Federal Records for the Massachusetts Genealogical Council and a member of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists (MSOG) and the Essex (Mass.) Society of Genealogists (ESOG.)
