Tewksbury Police Make Arrest In Armed Robbery Case
A man was arrested on accusations that he robbed a Tewksbury convenience store with what appeared to be a gun, according to police.
TEWKSBURY, MA — A man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a Tewksbury convenience store last month, according to police. Domenic Myers Yancy, 20, of Lowell, was charged with armed robbery while masked and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police received a call at 8:37 p.m. Nov. 17 reporting an armed robbery at Andy's Convenience at 420 Woburn St.
Police arrived and found that a man had brandished what appeared to be a Tec9-style gun with an extended magazine as he demanded cash and other items from a clerk. The man then ran across Woburn Street and into a wooded area.

Police said they began "an aggressive criminal investigation" and ultimately secured a warrant for a Commonwealth Avenue home in Lowell.
Police executed the search warrant at 6 a.m. Saturday, and Yancy was arrested.

Police determined that the gun used in the robbery was a replica.
Tewksbury police received assistance from the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, Massachusetts State Police, Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, Lowell Police, and Billerica Police.
"This was a collaborative effort from all agencies involved who worked tirelessly since this robbery to get this person off the street," Chief Ryan Columbus said in a statement.
