Tewksbury Resident Sworn in as Postmaster for Town of Shirley
Deanna White is a 22-year veteran of thye Postal Service.

Tewksbury resident Deanna M. White was formally installed as the new Postmaster of Shirley, Mass. The Installation ceremony was held at the Hazen Memorial Library in Shirley.
Portland, Maine Postmaster David C. Guiney travelled to Shirley to serve as the Master of Ceremonies and Post Office Operations Manager Dean M. Baker administered the oath of office.
White began her U.S. Postal Service career as a LSM Clerk at the Incoming Mail Center in Chelsea, MA in 1989 and subsequently served as a letter carrier out of the Medford, MA Post Office. She then covered supervisor assignments on a substitute basis until her selection as a Supervisor of Customer Service in the Cambridge, MA Post Office. More recently, she served as Officer-in-Charge at the Concord, MA Post Office and then was detailed to the Greater Boston District EXFC Team, the position she held prior to being selected as Postmaster of Shirley, MA.
White is married to Arlington Post Office supervisor Raymond White and they are parents of four children.
White’s children, Jonathan and Casey Dean, led the attendees at the installation ceremony in reciting the “Pledge of Allegiance’. Her husband, Ray, held the bible at the Installation as she was sworn into office.
As Shirley Postmaster, White oversees ten employees who process and deliver daily mail volume to the residents of the community that was incorporated as a town in 1753.
