Tewksbury Seeks To Offer Green Plan In Energy Aggregation Program
The town will submit an update to its energy aggregation plan after public comments over the next month.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury officials are seeking to add an optional higher rate green energy plan to the town's energy aggregation program, Town Manager Richard Montuori told the Board of Selectmen at their recent meeting.
The town approved its first energy aggregation plan in 2015, allowing the town to procure electricity at the town level, which customers can opt out of. The plan should be updated every five years, Montuori said, so the town has prepared an updated plan to submit to the state Department of Public Utilities.
The additional renewable energy option would be the only change, Montuori said.
