Miller, Stronach Win Tewksbury Selectmen's Race
Tewksbury voters also overwhelmingly approved a Proposition 2 1/2 override to pay for a new school in Saturday's town election.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Moderator Jayne Wellman Miller will be joining the Tewksbury Town election after placing second in a three-way race for two seats that were up for reelection in Saturday's town election. Anne Marie Stronach was reelected, while incumbent Todd Johnson ended up losing to Miller by just 58 votes.
In the other contested race, incumbent George Ferdinand was ousted in a four-way race for two seats on the board of health, losing to Maria Zaroulis. Anthony Boschetti was reelected to the board and the top vote-getter in the race.
Voters approved a Proposition 2 1/2 override to pay for a new elementary school, school administration building and athletic context. In the three non-binding ballot questions, Tewksbury voters said the opposed allowing recreational marijuana testing, cultivation and products manufacturers in town.
