There Will Be Some 'Girl Talk' At The Senior Center
March is filled with activities at the Senior Center.

The next Upscale Consignment Boutique “Intake of Items Day” will be held next Monday, March 5th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Consignors please note that this will be the last intake for winter clothing.
Lu Bonanno will hold a “Girl Talk” group on Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. This will be an up-beat group with a great facilitator. The “girls” will be discussing changing issues accompanying the aging process and life itself. Sounds like a great group...why not give it a try. One may sign-up at the Senior Center front desk or call 978-640-4480. This group is open to the public and is sponsored by Beacon Hospice.
The Presidential Primary will be held next Tuesday, March 6th. Due to the primary all activities are canceled for the day. Residents in precinct 1 and 1A will be casting their votes at the Senior Center.

There are only a few tickets left for the famous “Edwards Twins” performance at the Senior Center. The Edwards Twins show is next Friday, March 9th at 8:00 PM. The doors will open at 7:00 PM. Don't be shut out get tickets before they sell out. Tickets are $30 per person and are available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
A Foxwood day trip will be held on Tuesday, March 13th. One may drop by or call to see if space is still available. The ticket cost is $21 per person and includes a casino package, transportation and driver gratuity.

Barbara Antinoro will begin instructing “oil painting” classes on Thursday, March 15th. Beginner students are welcomed and encouraged to join this class. There will be a 5 week series at $40 per person. The class will break for a week then return on April 16 to begin another 5 weeks. Those signing up for the full course will be charged $75. One may place his/her name on the oil painting list at the front desk. Barbara will then call those people signed up with details of the class.
One may want to mark his/her calendar for the Senior Center Giant Yard Sale which will be held on Saturday, March 24th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, rain or shine. The public is welcomed to reserve a table at $15 or 2 tables for $25 by dropping by the Center to register. This March yard sale is always well attended by those who browse and purchase the many treasures found at the event. Luncheon specials and a yummy bake table are other features of the day. Kay Maher welcomes and appreciates donations of “baked goods” for the bake table. Those donating other items for the Senior Tables are asked do so on Wednesday the 21st and Thursday the 22nd.
AARP Volunteer Tax Assistants are helping Senior Citizens with their tax returns. To sign up for an appointment, one may drop by the Senior Center or call 978-640-4480 to place his/her name on the sign-up sheet at the front desk. The Director is just about done calling all those on the list to arrange an appointment. Please note that the Tax Assistants DO NOT, however, help prepare Schedules C, E, complicated/lengthy Scheduled D forms or other specialized forms. Taxpayers with complex tax forms are advised to seek paid tax help.
Those Tewksbury Seniors wishing to apply for Fuel Assistance may also call the Senior Center at 978-640-4480 to arrange an appointment with the Director. Eligibility guidelines for 1-2 people are: one person may have an income of up to $31,218; and, 2 people $40,824.
