Two Arrested, Charged with Unlawful Cultivation of Marijuana and Conspiracy

Detectives found 23 large marijuana plants and equipment in the woods behind 1080 Main St.

Tewksbury police have arrested two men for unlawful cultivation of marijuana and conspiracy.

The arrests of Paul Beckett, 53, of 531 Wolfeboro Hwy., Alton, NH and Kevin Martineau, 51, of 14 Gershom Ave, Lowell took place on Monday, Sept. 8. The arrests came after detectives conducting an investigation into illegal marijuana cultivation in the woods behind 1080 Main St. located 23 large marijuana plants and equipment used in manufacturing the marijuana.

The investigation led detectives to Martineau and Beckett who were subsequently arrested. Both were due to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
