Two New Hampshire Men Arraigned in Tewksbury Break-In

The two men were arraigned on charges stemming from a February home break-in.

TEWKSBURY, MA—Two New Hampshire men have been arraigned on charges related to a home break-in in Tewsksbury.

Lowell District Court confirmed with Patch that Brandon Simmons, 28, of Seabrook, NH was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering, larceny over $250 and malicious destruction of property stemming from a felony arrest warrant from a Feb. 29 home break-ins. His alleged accomplice, Keith Babcock, 33, also of Seabrook was arraigned on similar charges in May.

Simmons has a pretrial conference date of July 15, and Babcock has a pretrial date of June 22. The Lowell Sun was first to report the story.

On February 29, at approximately 2:45 p.m., members of the Tewksbury Police Department responded to a residence on William G. Drive for a reported housebreak. The homeowner had discovered a suspicious motor vehicle in his driveway and subsequently confirmed that his home had been broken into. The homeowner was able to follow the vehicle as it fled from the area. The suspect vehicle was operating recklessly and was stopped by Andover Police just into Andover.

The driver of the suspect vehicle that fled the scene of the Tewksbury housebreak was identified by Andover Police as Brandon Simmons, 28, of 51 Causeway St. in Seabrook, New Hampshire. Andover Police arrested Simmons in March on charges of Operating to Endanger, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Possession of a Class A Substance (heroin), and Marked Lanes Violation.

A second individual (who also fled William G. Drive on foot) was located by Wilmington and Andover K9 Units inside a shed in the rear of an Andover residence. This second subject was identified as Keith Babcock, 33, of 8 Raymond Drive in Seabrook, New Hampshire. Andover Police subsequently arrested Babcock for the following offenses, which occurred in Andover: Possession of a Class A Substance (heroin), and Breaking and Entering (shed for a misdemeanor). In addition, Babcock had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Separate of the offenses which occurred in Andover, Tewksbury Detectives requested the issuance of felony arrest warrants from Lowell District Court for both Simmons and Babcock for Breaking and Entering During the Daytime for Felony, Malicious Destruction of Property Over $250, and Larceny Over $250 and the warrants were both issued in connection with the Feb. 29 break-in.
