TEWKSBURY, MA -- A Tewksbury woman pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges stemming from an incident last month where she allegedly tried to pick up her niece from cheer leading practice while drunk. According to the Lowell Sun, which first reported this story, Tewksbury police responded to an Oct. 11 that a drunk woman was trying to pick up her niece at cheerleading practice at the Snack Shack of Livingston Street. Rego was pulled over again on Corinne Way, then sped off again as the officer exited his cruiser.
Rego was finally apprehended on Jills Way after police blocked off the street. Rego, according to police reports, was uncooperative when police tried to administer field sobriety tests at the Tewksbury Police Station.
