• North Middlesex named a Unified Sports Champion (sentinelandenterprise.com) — North Middlesex Regional School District, based in Townsend, has been named one of just eight Unified Sports Champion School Districts in Massachusetts for 2026, recognizing its inclusive programs from pre-K through high school. Several Townsend-area schools earned Unified Champion status, and district leaders will be honored at a Special Olympics Massachusetts event later this month.
