5 Things: Girls Sports Updates, Egg Hunt Re-Scheduled

Today in Wakefield sports - Boys varsity baseball scrimmages Beverly at 3:30 p.m. at home, boys varsity track competes against Arlington at 3:30 p.m. at home, girls varsity track competes against Arlington at 3:30 p.m. @ Arlingon, boys varsity lacross plays Winchester at 4 p.m. at home, and girls varsity lacross plays Winchester at 4 p.m. @ Winchester.
3. Egg hunt re-scheduled - Due to bad weather last Saturday, the Wakefield Center Neighborhood Association pushed back its annual egg hunt to this coming Saturday, April 7, at 10 a.m. The forecast for this coming Saturday looks nice, with sunny skies and temperatures likely in the 60s. The hunt is on!

4. Girls Softball fundraiser - The will sponsor a fundraiser for the Wakefield High School Softball Team from April 2 to April 7, brought to you by the Friends of Wakefield Softball Booster Club. The business will set aside a percentage of purchases by people who mention the team during that time.
5. Congrats are in order - Congratulations to Wakefield girls Sarah Melanson and Annabella Forziati who helped the U10 Ice Cats clinch the Middlesex Yankee Conference Girls League U10 Minor title. Melanson worked a stellar performance between the pipes and Forziati netted 2 goals for a 2-1 win over Arlington. Way to go, girls!
