5 Things: Lecture for Wakefield Parents, Volunteers Needed at GMS

1. Sunny and nice - According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 43 degrees.
2. Today in Wakefield sports- The Wakefield High School girls varsity ice hockey team plays Watertown at 7:10 p.m. in the Div II North Girls Ice Hockey Tournament at 7:10 p.m. at the Kasabuski Arena in Saugus.
3. Lecture for parents - Parenting expert Jack Agati presents the lecture "Why do kids do the things they do?" tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Wakefield High School. Jack's engaging, entertaining, and informative presentations are popular with parents of children of all ages. Tickets are $8 at the door. 4. For small business owners - The Wakefield Chamber of Commerce presents a luncheon and seminar for small business owners on Tuesday, March 6 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at First Parish Church (1 Church St.) Open to the public, New Options for Small Business will present the latest news from the state level on the Qualified Collaborative insurance negotiations will be included. Featured speakers, with a combined 50 years experience in health insurance, will be Brian Cavallo of Health Services Administrators and John J. Vigliotti of Chamber Insurance. RSVP by March 2nd.
5. Volunteers needed at GMS- The organizers of the annual Galvin Middle School Student vs. Faculty Hoop Game are still looking for volunteers for the game on Wednesday March 14th from 5-7:30.
