2. Today in Wakefield sports - Girls varsity softball plays Bedford at 4 p.m. at home, and boys lacross plays Watertown at 4 p.m. @ Watertown. The girls varsity lacrosse game scheduled for today at 4 p.m. at home versus Watertown has been postponed a week.
3. Massone moves on - On Tuesday night's results episode of "The Voice," America found out that Wakefield resident James Massone finished in the top three in votes on his team, pushing him through into the next round. Way to go!

4. Arts Night - Tonight from 6-8 p.m. is in Wakefield, with a special presentation of students' work from grades 1-12 by the Wakefield Visual Arts Department. The show, which will be held in the Galvin Middle School Gymnasium, will feature high school art students demonstrating drawing, painting, working on the potter's wheel, creating computer graphics, and using video cameras. Stop by to see the students show off their hard work, display their talent and entertain you with their creativity and originality.
5. Calling fans of nature - The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) invites Wakefield residents to attend a forum on open space and trails. Local government and non-profit organization leaders will speak about the Community Preservation Act, municipal tools for acquiring open space, collaboration across city and town borders, and resources for trail management. The best part? It's free! Head to (1 Lafayette St.) from 8:45 a.m. to noon for the forum.
