5 Things: Parent Lecture on Bullying, 'Get Out the Vote' Meeting

3. Lecture on Bullying - The Wakefield Parent Partnership presents "" by Joani Geltman tonight from 7:30 - 9 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Wakefield Memorial High School. This informative and entertaining talk will provide parents with useful strategies for helping their children deal with the social drama of being a pre-teen and a teen. Learn why some kids bully and exclude and learn what you can do to help your child before they become a pre-teen/teen.

4. Volunteers needed - If you're in support of a new Galvin Middle School, join up with other supporters to make the new school a reality. The "Get out the Vote" movement is going door-to-door to talk to registered voters to raise awareness and get people to the polls. If you can lend a hand, send your name, address, email and phone to: galvinizewakefield@gmail.com. You can also show up tonight for the "Get Out the Vote" canvassing kickoff meeting, which will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield (326 Main St) at 7:30 p.m.
5. Attention musicians! - We're looking for all bands with members who live in Wakefield to of one of their performances here, for a chance to win recording time at Oak Grove Recording, win a headline gig at The Harp in Boston, as well as a cut/color at Avanti Hair Salon and a party bus ride around Boston on Bustonian Party Bus.
