• Governor Healey awards $4.4M to expand Microtransit and Last Mile Transit connections across Massachusetts including Burlington and Woburn (homenewshere.com) — Wakefield is set to benefit from a new regional microtransit pilot, as Woburn received $1 million to launch an on-demand service in partnership with Wakefield, Burlington, and Reading. Funded through a statewide $4.4 million grant program, the service aims to improve flexible connections to jobs, schools, health care, and transit hubs, especially where fixed-route buses don't reach.
