'Celebrate the Green' Saturday at Greenwood Plaza
This Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Greenwood Plaza, come "Celebrate the Green" with local merchants.

The following was provided by Wakefield's Event Planning Committee:
The Event Planning Committee (EPC) never stops planning events for our great community. Last August we gave you the spectacular two-day Festival Italia, and in December the family-oriented Holiday Stroll. Each event brought in more than 5,000 people, which translates into revenue for our local merchants and community exposure. Both events continue to grow in numbers every year.
The EPC is now busy finalizing plans for the next event, "Celebrate the Green", running from Saturday, March 16 thru Sunday, March 24. The week-long merchant event will begin on Saturday, March 16. Join us at the Greenwood Plaza from 1-5 p.m. to kick off this family-fun event, which will be held inside the plaza, portions of the plaza parking lot, and Greenwood stores along Main Street. Children’s activities will include face painting, balloon artist, and the ever-popular Candy Stop. For adults we have two putting greens, beer tasting, entertainment with an Irish flare, raffles, and the list keeps growing.
