Confused Deer Bursts Through Window in Office Park
Wakefield Police and Environmental Police responded to the Edgewater Place Office Park on Tuesday afternoon to remove a sick deer from the building.

Employees at the Edgewater Place office park got a scare when a confused and sick deer crashed through a window and ran amok through several rooms on Tuesday afternoon.
Wakefield Police responded to 400 Edgewater Drive at 5:15 p.m. for a call that a deer had burst through a glass window and was trapped inside the office building.
Police said the deer appeared to be sick and was also heavily injured from jumping through the window. The deer was banging itself off of walls and glass windows inside the office.

Police called in the Massachusetts Environmental Police, who were able to corral the deer and eventually put the deer down.
No employees or police were hurt or injured during the incident. The particular rooms in the building where the deer was trapped did not have any people in them at the time.

"Luckily this area was not heavily occupied at the time," said Lieutenant Craig Calabrese of the Wakefield Police Department.
