Photo Credit: WHDH, 7 News   WAKEFIELD, MA — A 76-year-old man was transported to an area hospital by med flight Thursday after a white pickup truck collided with a Haverhill Line train in Wakefield, according to MBTA Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan    Sullivan confirmed with Patch that the train struck the pickup truck at around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. According to Sullivan, the driver attempted to maneuver around the lowered gates at the Broadway Street railroad crossing.     The afternoon commute will not be affected. The man's condition is currently not known.     Check back with Patch for updates
