With so many artists in Wakefield and surrounding towns, wouldn’t it be fun to bring all of them together for a whimsical project that would not only captivate a crowd but delight them at the same time? what better way to accomplish such a feat by melding all creative hands and minds to give Wakefield its very own hand crafted , full size , carousel ? Imagination is a powerful thing because of the positive impacts it has in all of us. Carousels have been captivating riders of all ages for many years and the fancy has not yet lost its luster.
Wakefield is a very colorful community and a carousel would further create an allure for the town. The Greenway got a carousel so why can’t our town? Not only this but what if the whole carousel was created by artistic residents of Wakefield? As an artist I’d love to take part in helping to design the figures for the ride. Once completed, proceeds from the carousel could be put toward funding to clean up the lake, replant trees and clean up our beautiful parks. Mainly, it would be a wonderful way to meet fellow artists and put creative minds together. Imagine being at the lake and seeing the joy of the faces of those riding on a figure you created. Happiness is just a hands worth away and a whimsical spin atop a painted pony.
