DiNapoli Powers Warriors Past Cambridge
Junior Allana DiNapoli racked up five goals and four assists as the Wakefield High girls lacrosse team beat Cambridge, 20-10.

With the MIAA tournament crepping ever closer, the Wakefield High girls lacrosse team took a big step to even its recrord on Monday with a 20-10 thumping of Cambridge Rindge and Latin at Russell Field in Cambridge.
Junior Allana DiNapoli had a big day for the Warriors (5-6), racking up five goals and four assists to lead the offense while sophomore Gabby Moscato and junior Samantha Morris each finished with four goals and an assist and senior Kate Nixon had three goals.
"(The) girls played well today, everyone contributed to the win." said head coach Cara Luca. "Allana DiNapoli had another strong game...sophomore Gabby Moscato had her best game... This is Gabby's first year playing on the varsity level and has transitioned very well. She brings speed to the offense which has helped out."

But while the win was a big one for the Warriors, it came at some cost as captain Aimee Reynolds went down with an ankle injury. With a grueling schedule still ahead, Wakefield will definitely need Reynolds back to make a run at the tournament.
"I am hoping she is back by Thursday for our game against Woburn," said Luca. "She contributes a lot for this team when on offense. Wakefield has a full schedule for the next two and a half weeks. We have nine games to play and all are crucial games. If we want to make tournament, we have to give it everything we got and go out and play a 110 percent."
Up next for Wakefield is a tough road game at Belmont (8-2) today at 4:30 p.m.
