About Lake Quannapowitt Tree Sale - The Wakefield-Reading Y Service Club

The Wakefield-Reading Y Service Club has received a large shipment of Nova Scotia Balsam Firs and are setting up at Hall Park/Veterans Field on North Avenue in Wakefield ready to help you find the perfect tree and wreath to celebrate the holiday season.

Proceeds from our annual sale provide financial aid for children and families in the communities of Reading, Wakefield, Stoneham, Wilmington, and North Reading through the Burbank YMCA.  As part of the YMCA’s “MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL” program, our club donates to the YMCA’s annual Reach-Out campaign, and provides additional funding for projects the YMCA needs to improve its programs, such as swimming lessons, summer camp, childcare, and the Pink Program.  This year $245,000 in financial assistance will be provided to families to participate in YMCA programs.

In addition to our support of the Burbank YMCA, we also contribute to local scholarship organizations, and we support programs worldwide sponsored by our parent organization, Y's Men International.

The Y’s Men and Women thank their many supporters and encourage community support of this worthy cause.  Club members and volunteers are available at the site from 10am to 9pm daily to assist with your purchases.  Anyone interested in information regarding the sale or volunteering can contact the club at via our website, www.wrysc.org or by e-mail at volunteer@wrysc.org .
