Drunken Driver Sideswiped Northeast Metro Tech Van: Police
Two students from the Wakefield school were brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

REVERE, MA — A Revere woman who officials said sideswiped a van carrying students was arrested and charged with drunken driving. Two students on the van, which is owned and operated by Northeast Metro Tech, were hospitalized as a precaution, having suffered non-life threatening injuries, a school spokesperson said.
The van was carrying 10 students from a vocational work site in Winthrop at it was sideswiped around 1 p.m. near Elliot Circle, officials said. The van suffered minor damage.
A 45-year-old Revere woman was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, police said.
