Looking to do some exercise, meet some celebrities and celebrate all at the same time? If so, we hope you will join the thousands of people at the 16th Annual MDSC Buddy Walk! The Buddy Walk & Family Picnic is held every October (during Down Syndrome Awareness Month) in Wakefield, to celebrate the lives of those with Down syndrome and to promote acceptance and inclusion. Thousands of people converge on Lake Quannapowitt for a 3-mile walk, followed by entertainment, a picnic on the shore of Lake Quannapowitt and more at what could easily be considered the largest family reunion in Massachusetts! This year, celebrity guests include GLEE actress/star Lauren Potter, as well as American Idol finalist/singer, Ayla Brown, among others.
