As part of Wakefield's Civil War Remembrance Day, the Providence Brigade Band will perform a free public concert on Wakefield Upper Common (the Wakefield Veterans' Common), in front of the Civil War Memorial Statue.
The Providence Brigade Band is a Civil War period brass band that carries on the tradition of performing in the style of early American brass bands. Band members dress in military uniforms of the period and play original music of the time.
The public is welcome to attend; please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on in order to best enjoy the event.
