Plaza Jazz, part of the 2012 Berklee Summer in the City Concert Series presented by Natixis Global Asset Management, continues with a live performance by English Tom in the Bookstore at 5:30 p.m. on July 5 at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library.
When Kevin Clark and Wil Tecla met, they were just a pianist and a drummer, but as they came to realize they shared a very similar goal and drive, they quickly began putting together the foundation that is English Tom in the Bookstore. Also featuring saxophonists Derrick Tate and Utril Rhaburn, bass player Mike Dyer, and flute player Julia Price, the group blends jazz and hip-hop. The band's single will be featured on Jazz Revelation Records' upcoming album. The group is recording its first EP.
