On Thursday, May 26th, Oom Yung Doe Wakefield, will hold two free Qi (chi) Gong breathing seminars. Both seminars will be approximately 30 minutes long. One begins at 6PM and one will begin at 8:30 PM
401 Main street, Wakefield center.
Gi Gong or Qi Gong is the study and development of the body's natural energy to improve mental and physical health, through the practice of specific breathing techniques. The practice of these breathing techniques develops the body internally. This is done by practicing special breathing forms that open up all the acupuncture meridians, allowing energy to flow to all parts of the body healing every organ in its path. By increasing the level of Qi (nature's energy) in the body, not only can you correct many physical problems and be less prone to disease, but you can also increase your longevity. Increased Qi (energy) in the internal organs will help to release stress which tends to accrue in daily life. This energy will help heal and strengthen the body, calm the mind and increase one's health. The School of Oom Yung Doe is a martial arts school, yet the practice of the movements, breathing techniques and meditation, is principally concerned with healing. Yoga and Oom Yung Doe movements, for example, share the same root. All ages and body types can practice the Oom Yung Doe movements.
