We are searching for the strongest teen vocalists 13 - 19 from across the New England region to compete in the televised debut of "Sound Off". The show will premiere on CBS myTV38 in August and September.
The show's innovative format features three stages of competition, each which will prepare the vocalists for the variety of tasks they will have to perform on a regular basis as professional recording artists. After the competing vocalists have been reduced to three top finalists, the three will work with top industry professionals to cut an original single, and will be given 3-4 weeks to complete a television-ready performance complete with choreography and styling. The three finalists will perform in the spectacular live season finale alongside three other established national recording artists. The ultimate question is which of the three finalists look like they belong with the pros and have demonstrated throughout the series that they have both star power as well as staying power.
The winner will receive the grand prize of a recording contract along with a suite of other scholarships and prizes. The longer participants remain in the show the more exposure they will have to working with industry professionals, so the training received throughout the show will be a tremendous benefit to the finalist participants.
All phases of the production will be videotaped, including the live auditions. The Wakefield audition is scheduled for June 28, 2012 at JamSpot from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and the Several days following the live auditions, applicants will be notified of the judges decisions.
