There will be three separate age brackets for both boys and girls; High School, 14 and under and 12 and under. Consolation matches and fun parent and children matches are scheduled throughout the weekend so that all participants get plenty of play. The tournament is geared for both beginning and more advanced players. Players must be from Wakefield.
Players may register or ask for more details by calling or emailing Bill Conley 781-245-6139 (bill.conley1@gmail.com), Rich or Jennifer Walter 781-246-4294 (richjenwalter@rcn.com) or John Ludlow 781-245-1929
The tournament also includes a free clinic which will be scheduled in the week prior to the tournament. Members of the Wakefield Tennis Association will run the clinic. The clinic is open to all interested junior players whether they are playing in the tournament or not.
Fundraising in the form of donations and raffles during the weekend will go to the Geoffrey A. Walter Citizens Scholarship Fund.
In the spirit of Geoffrey Walter, the tourney committee invites all interested junior tennis players and families to participate and demonstrate their enthusiasm, skill and sportsmanship.
