Event Spotlight: Tour of WHS for Incoming Freshmen

On Thursday, January 19 at 3 p.m. WHS will host its last high school tour for incoming students and parents.

On Thursday, January 19 at 3 p.m., Wakefield High School will hold its last tour for current 8th graders who will start as freshman in the fall and their parents.

Topics and places to be covered include:

The building – department locations, classrooms, offices, café, library and exciting programs: television, culinary arts, performing arts, Mac design lab, ceramics and photography dark room.

The people – where to find the main office, the nurse, guidance and technology.

The schedule – seven periods, six days, six courses, plus Wellness and Health.

The data – just under 1000 students, 100 credits to graduate, MCAS, SAT and career/college placement.

The activities – athletics, music, drama, clubs, school newspaper and much more.
