ICYMI: Expectations are High For Warriors Football

Team kicks off the season at home versus Beverly.

The Wakefield Warriors finished last season 5-6, but the pieces are in place this year to make a serious run at the Middlesex League championship.

The Warriors kick off the season at home on Friday, Sept. 11 against the Beverly Panthers, another team that finished just below .500 last year but is looking for better returns in 2015.

Some of the returning seniors looking to put Wakefield over the top this year, according to Maxpreps. com, are 6’3” wide receiver and safety Tighe Beck, running back and linebacker Zack Kane, and center and defensive lineman Matt Mercurio.
