Fire Log: 1 Alarm Fire And 62 Calls For Service.

A list of the calls the Wakefield Fire Department responded to from June 27 to July 4, 2011.

Fire Incidents:
On June 28th at 2:46 p.m., Wakefield Fire responded to 58 Plymouth Road for a 1-alarm fire in a single-family home. The fire started in the bathroom, where a bathroom fan malfuctioned and burst into flames. Three Wakefield engines responded under the direction of Fire Chief Michael Sullivan. "The homeowner had already extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher, but we checked for extenstion in the attic and did find some," Sullivan said. "There was very little damage to the home."
