Volunteer: Steward Homecare is looking for volunteers to visit with patients. Training in the physical, emotional, social and spiritual issues that people may encounter at the end of life is provided. An emphasis is placed on effective communication and listening skills.
Community: The Beebe Library will remain open until 9 p.m. on weeknights beginning on Monday, July 2. Several years ago as a result of budget reductions, the library was forced to cut back its evening hours resulting in an 8 p.m. closing time on weekdays. With the return of the 9 p.m. closing time on July 2, the library’s complete weekly schedule will be as follows: Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
