Friends of Beebe Library Book Sale

                  Friday and Saturday June 6th
and 7th, 2014, the Friends of Beebe Library are hosting their 43nd Annual Book
Sale.  By popular demand, the Annual Book
Sale has added additional hours by opening to the general public on Friday
night June 6th from 6pm to 9pm. Members Only Preview Night will be Thursday
June 5th from 6pm-9pm.

One hundred percent of the proceeds support
the programs at The Lucius Beebe Memorial Library. Every year hundreds of book
lovers take advantage of the lowest prices around to re-stock their bookshelves
with great used books. Beach reading, children’s, crafts, business, history, travel,
self-help, romance and story books fill the tables of more than 15,000 titles
sold to benefit the programs offered at the Beebe Library. Prices range from 50
cents to $2:00. Some selected items are individually priced at the Premium
table.

We have so many great items ready for sale; a big batch of books on how to play bridge, a
collection of Isaac Asimov books as well as lots of science fiction &
fantasy. We also have a collection of LP’s of mostly classic opera. One local
doctor has graciously donated an entire collection that includes catalogs of
special art collections and many interesting vintage books. This is the
largest fundraising event for the Friends and provides the funds to support
museum passes, programs and so much more.
