Info Released For Wakefield Porchfest

The third annual event community music event will be held this summer.

WAKEFIELD, MA — The 3rd annual Wakefield Porchfest is coming up later this summer, and registration has opened for hosts and performers.

Porchfest is scheduled for Aug. 29 from noon to 6 p.m.

Previously, the event has drawn over 100 musical acts at 50-plus locations around the community.

Registration for both performers and hosts is available at the event's website. Registration closes Aug. 9.

Porchfest hosts are community volunteers who coordinate with musicians ahead of the event, design the outdoor space for performers and engage with the community about the event.

The success of previous Porchfests has led to the creation of Next Stage Wakefield, a non-profit launched this year to support live music opportunities for musicians in the community

Wakefield Porchfest is funded in part by a grant from the Wakefield Arts Council, a local agency, which is supported by Mass Cultural Council.
