Jewish Community Center To Serve Wakefield, Surrounding Communities
The Chabad Jewish center will serve Wakefield, Reading, Stoneham, and Saugus.

WAKEFIELD, MA — A new Jewish community center will open to serve the needs of Wakefield, Reading, Stoneham, and Saugus. The Chabad Jewish center will be established by Rabbi Sruly Brook and Devora Leah Brook of Brooklyn, New York, The Reading Post reported.
Chabad mission is to "foster a thriving Jewish community built on meaningful connections and relationships," according to the organization's website.
"Our goal is to provide everyone with the opportunity to connect to their Judaism by promoting Jewish pride and celebration."

Sruly Brook has studied in Yeshivas spanning from his hometown of Brooklyn, Toronto, the UK, and Israel. He received his Rabbinic ordination from Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies.
Devora Leah Brook has experience as a preschool and middle school teacher and has directed summer camps as well.
