Independence Day also a day filled with fireworks, loud parties, and even silly string.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Or has a few too many. Or sets common sense aside. Check out some of the highlights from the Wakefield Police Log of July 4th. And it all starts at midnight.
Midnight -- Anonymous caller reports loud party on Mansion Road. Several vehicles parked in the area, some leaving. No noise at this time.
12:39 a.m. -- Caller reports fireworks set off on baseball field. Area checked, unable to locate.

1:20 a.m. -- Group of youths about 19 years old spraying cars with silly string, peeled out onto Main St. S/B from Charles Street. Caller reports no visible damage. Unable to locate. Confirmed lack of damage with RP.
1:54 a.m. -- Caller reports fireworks coming from playground near Harrington Court. Unfounded.

12:28 p.m. -- Elderly male with extreme stomach pain on Kendrick Road. Party transported to MEL/WAK by Action EMS.
2:13 p.m. -- At Franklin and Main, Caller reports elderly woman walking in the middle of roadway that appears confused. Wearing black and white dress and has white hair. Unable to locate.
6:33 p.m. -- On Vernon Street, caller reports female party is vomiting. Transport to Mel/Wak.
6:58 p.m. -- At Eunice Circle, caller reports party suffering from alcohol poisioning. Action and Fire notified. Party transported to Mel/Wak Hosp.
8:51 p.m. -- At Salem Street and Montrose Ave., caller reports male party sitting on curb talking to himself by gas station. Party not sure which gas station and gave no description. Party checks out.
9:09 p.m. -- On Centre Street, caller reports baby having difficulty breathing. Action and Fire notified. Treated on scene by Action EMS, unknown transport decision.
9:58 p.m. -- On North Ave, caller reports people lighting fires in a front yard. Unfounded complaint.
10:10 p.m. -- On Curve Street, call of fireworks. No fireworks or parties.
10:12 p.m. -- On Wakefield Ave, a fireworks complaint. Quiet on arrival.
10:16 p.m. -- At Common and Church Street, party suffered injury from fireworks. Action and Fire notified.
10:18 p.m. -- On Vernon Street, caller reports female passed out or asleep on a hood of a car. Female waiting for a ride.
11:16 p.m. -- On Wicker Lane, CP reports a loud party going on. Family having karaoke session, will quiet down for the evening.
11:19 p.m. -- On Albion Street, male party having an allergic reaction to a sun burn. Fire and Action notified.
11:36 p.m. -- Complaint of fireworks in the area of Parker Rd. Checked the area, all quiet. Unable to locate fireworks.
