Kids' Lemonade Stand Raises $1,300 for Those in Need
Summer Milsky, 8, Luke Greif, 6, and Noah Greif, 10, set out to raise $1,000 for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry and the One Fund. They beat that goal handily.

Last week, this website noted that three young Wakefield residents - Summer Milsky, Luke Greif and Noah Greif - were setting up their "Lemon-Aid 3" lemonade stand Saturday on the Wakefield Common with an eye on raising $1,000 for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry and for the One Fund.
According to parent Rich Greif, an Interfaith Food Pantry board member, the three ended up raising $1,300 instead - on top of the $600 they raised last year for the food pantry.
Rep. Paul Brodeur, Selectman Tiz Doto and School Committee members Greg Liakos and Kate Morgan were among those who reportedly came to show their support.
The stand was part of "Lemonade Day," which teaches entrepreneurial skills to children by encouraging them to set up a lemonade stand. Locally, Lemonade Day is run by Babson College, added Greif, noting that he is a member of the Bason Class of '90 while fellow parent Tammy Milsky is a 1995 alum.
"Lemonade Day is a great initiative to teach students entrepreneurial skills of how to run a business, and we're grateful to the Wakefield community for their tremendous generosity to both charities," said Greif.
