UPDATE: Three-Alarm Blaze at Lakeside Inn Under Control

Firefighters have knocked down the three-alarm blaze.

WAKEFIELD, MA—A three-alarm blaze was reported at Lakeside Inn in Wakefield on Monday. As of 10:25 a.m., the fire has been knocked down.

Crews are still attending to a smoke condition in the attic, according to reports.

Firefighters responded to the 595 North Avenue hotel which was formerly the Clarion Hotel. Reports indicated that this heavy fire started in the walls of the building and was on the second floor.

Initial reports just came in before 10 a.m. Monday. There is no word on any damages or injuries as of now. The Wakefield Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
