Volunteers Needed To Help Sort and Pack Donated Items

Please join the Wakefield Food Pantry (WFP) in participating in the annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ STAMP OUT HUNGER® Food Drive on Saturday, May 11, 2024. STAMP OUT HUNGER is the country’s largest one-day food drive, offering one of the easiest, most convenient ways you can help our food pantry and our neighbors in need.

STAMP OUT HUNGER Volunteers Needed: Another way you can help is to volunteer on Saturday, May 11 to assist in receiving and sorting donations. This is a fun day to volunteer. Families are encouraged to volunteer together and all volunteers can use Sign Up Genius at https://tinyurl.com/fa2prc82. Volunteer sessions run every ½ hour, starting at 1:00 pm and finishing at 7:00 pm on May 11th at the Americal Civic Center.

America’s letter carriers will join thousands of volunteers on Saturday, May 11, to help millions of people struggling with food insecurity throughout the United States. What can you do? Simply leave a bag of non-perishable food items near your mail box at 9:00 a.m. on May 11th. The amazing letter carriers do the rest. They will bring your donation to the WFP where volunteers will sort and stock the donations in our pantry.
