Photo Gallery: McAuliffe's Four Goals Propels Wakefield Past Malden

Junior Casey McAuliffe scored for goals for the Warriors as the Wakefield High girls lacrosse team beat Malden, 15-6, on Wednesday at Landrigan Field. 

Juniors Alana DiNapoli (three assists), Samantha Morris and Paige Maguire also had big games with each player scoring a hat trick for Wakefield (3-4) while goalie Stephanie Wallace made 14 saves in net. 

"Malden has a good offense and Wakefield's defense was able to contain them," said Wakefield head coach Cara Luca. :Casey McAuliffe had another great game and was the leading scorer with four goals and one assist. Allana DiNapoli and Paige Maguire also had a good game and helped contribute to Wakefield's offense."

The Warriors have a short break until their next game, when they travel to take on a tough Middlesex League opponent in Reading on Tuesday, April 26 at 3:45 p.m.
