Photos: Eight-Run Fifth Sinks Wakefield Softball

Trailing 5-4 in the top of the fifth, the Stoneham High softball team erupted for eight runs en route to a 15-5 win over host Wakefield on Tuesday at Veterans' Field.

Samantha LaPierre led the Warrior offense with a pair of hits including a triple and three RBI while Megan Leary picked up three hits, Abby DiCredico had a hit and Maggie Hartrey scored a run. 

Gia Raczkowski powered the Spartan offense with three hits and three RBI, while Holly Eicher had three hits and and RBI and Nicolette DelVecchio picked up the win in 6 2/3 innings and helped her own cause witha  pair of hits and an RBI. 

With the loss Wakefield fell to 4-9 overall with a road game at Woburn today at 3:45 p.m.
