Police Arrest Everett Man in Connection with Bank Robbery
A 27-year-old Everett man was taken into custody Friday after officials investigated a robbery at the East Boston Savings Bank.

According to Wakefield Police Chief Richard Smith, Enver Ikanovic, 27, of Everett, was arrested and charged with the robbery.
Police said Saturday that civilian witnesses and assisted police in identifying Ikanovic.

According to police, Ikanovic walked into the on Thursday, Sept. 29, around 3 p.m. and passed a bank teller a note demanding money and saying he had a weapon. No weapon was shown at the time of the incident, said police. A dye pack exploded after the suspect received the money. The suspect fled the business and left driving down Albion Street.
Several law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation, including the FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force, the Middlesex County's Sheriff’s Office, the Everett Police Department, and the Wakefield Police Department.
