Police Log: Lynn Man Charged With Dealing Heroin, Cocaine in Wakefield
A list of the arrests, summons, and other incidents Wakefield Police responded to from Feb. 14 to Feb. 18, 2011.

Arrests:
A Lynn man who had allegedly been dealing drugs in Wakefield and had been under investigation for months was arrested on Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m., allegedly with cocaine, heroin, and $1400 in cash on his person. According to police, the South Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force, a group of detectives who work together in the region on drug cases, had arranged for surveillance on a suspect a few times in January and early February. They identified the suspect as Rubell Cornelio, 28, of 95 Park Street in Lynn., and that he drove a red Subaru station wagon. Through their investigation, police said they observed several drug deals taking place with the identified subject.
On Feb. 16, police received information a drug sale would take place at 95 Audobon Rd. in Wakefield. According to reports, when police observed the suspect’s car enter the area of 95 Audobon Rd. they enacted a traffic stop on the vehicle for having an expired inspection sticker. Police searched the suspect and his car, and recovered two bundles of money totaling $1477, four bags of heroin, and three bags of cocaine. Cornelio was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A substance, posesion of a class B substance, and because the arrest happened near the Magical Beginnings Daycare, intent to distribute near a school or park.

On Feb. 15 at 3 p.m., police responded to 5 Dillaway Street in Wakefield for a report domestic disturbance. According to police, when they entered the Dillaway Street residence, they observed a man and his daughter outside the house. The man allegedly told police that his wife was inside the residence, “going crazy,” and that she had allegedly thrown a telephone, a pair of scissors, and picture frames at him and his daughter. The wife, Carmela Nason, 45, was arrested for three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of domestic assault and battery.
Summons
A 23-year-old Wakefield resident will be summoned to court for possession of marijuana.

Other Incidents
A woman who works on Audobon Road in Wakefield reported to police on Feb. 16 at 12:30 p.m. that her wallet had been stole while at work. Missing from the wallet was $357 in cash, credit cards, her check book, and her debit card. The woman told police she had called her bank to stop checks, but one of the credit cards had already been used to purchase gas in Medford. Wakefield detectives are investigating.

On Feb. 17, at 6 p.m., a man who had parked his car in the center of town called police to report it had been stolen while he was in Brother’s Deli. The car, a purple 1997 Volvo had been parked on Smith Street. The victim told police he had not left his keys in the car.
