Police Log: Lynn Man Charged With Numerous Vehicle Violations
David Batista was arrested after police say they caught him driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle with a suspended license.

Featured item: David Batista, 36, of Lynn, was arrested by police and charged with numerous motor vehicle violations. According to the police report, Batista was driving on a suspended license in a vehicle with a revoked registration.

According to the report, two officers were on directed patrol on Farm Street at about 9:21 p.m. when they ran a routine registration check on Batista’s motor vehicle. The check showed that the vehicle’s registration had been revoked because of insurance cancellation. After making a traffic stop, the officers discovered that Batista had a suspended license as well. Batista was subsequently arrested and charged with operating on a suspended license, driving a vehicle with a revoked registration and driving an uninsured vehicle. Batista’s car was towed from the scene.

6:48 p.m. – Officers arrested John Spector, 22, of Chestnut Street, on an outstanding warrant from Malden District Court. Officers encountered Spector on Main Street and knew that he had a warrant out for his arrest. After confirming that the warrant was still out, the officers placed him under arrest.
10:25 p.m. – Police issued a summons to a Malden resident for assault and battery following an incident at the corner of Water Street and Vernon Street. According to police, the Malden resident and a female friend had gotten into an argument, and at some point during the argument the he pushed the woman to the ground. She suffered a scrape on her chin and bruises under her eyes.
11:54 a.m. – Police were notified of a minor car accident on North Ave. There were no injuries at the scene and police notified the tow company to move the vehicles from the road.
Thursday, June 21
12:07 a.m. – A Chestnut Street resident reported coming home and finding a broken window on the premises. As of now police have no suspects in the incident.
